It's the season to be jolly again. Spending a.k.a shopping time is here again. But fortunately, all the shopping centres/supermarkets/hypermarkets are closed due to Chinese New Year. Evidently, the Chinese have turned Singapore into a ghost town come Chinese New Year. Everything, from taxi to NTUC to IMM to Banquet Food Centres are closed. Thanks to McDonald and Canadian 2in1 Pizza, my children did not starve to death during the festive season.

I guessed it was blessing in disguise when all the shopping facilities are closed. With the money that I have in my hand, I could have paint the town red. That would make me feel good. Hmm... I wonder whether forcing ourselves to feel good all the time is necessarily helpful.

I am a bit confused, to be honest. Do we think about ourselves before others? Or do we think about others before ourselves? The part of the problem seemed to be that we tend to have emotions inside us which have long been suppressed. There are people that I need to think about before I splurge myself silly. There are responsibilities that I need to shoulder in order to balance my life as a normal being. But, my hands aren't long enough to reach everyone. I feel helpless at times. I do have to accept that it is part of life to feel such unhelpful emotions from time to time, at least for limited period of time. I guess my concern is really with people like me who have difficulty with similar things. Anyway, enough of emotional turbulence for one day.

Jazz is up and running, figuratively. In our recent predicament, we discovered that there are more than enough people in our lives that care. The love and care were overwhelming and in abundance, and well-wishers came from every parts of the world. It's not the law of attraction that's making people love him, but his ability to listen and make people feel special that sometimes awes me!

A Sony Cybershot H5 as a token for his good conduct. Now he has to fulfill his promise to quit smoking. No more coke, no more sum buey, no more jeruk mangga.
