God's Gift

I am in a state of ambivalence. I can't decide whether to write about God's greatest gifts or God's greatest test. Whether about the office's or the government's delivery.

Huge numbers suddenly appears in my bank account today. I have anticipated this, but not today. I was expecting it to be next week, although with the email that came this morning, it would probably be next month and of course with a larger numbers than what is. But this morning, my CEO called and asked if I want to know the numbers, and he would be glad to fax it to me, since he is at our overseas office. The joy of having a great boss and great friends.

It might as well be. As a consolation to the test that we are experiencing right now, it came at the right time.

In the news, the government has promised a payout to Singaporeans sum of money in 4 installments. Just imagine $800 - $1,000 to about 4 millions eligible Singaporeans. That is a lot of money. But my mind is not as excited to hear about the government's delivery nor the office's.

My mind is more excited about God's gifts. HE gave us so much and yet HE never asked for anything in return except our taqwa and our obedience towards HIM. I am most grateful for HIS gift. Alhamdulillah, syukur ke hadrat Allah. Dengan limpah kurnianya, rezqi yang melimpah sebagai ganjaran kesabaran dan ketabahan.
