Packing Again

With the rainy days for the past few days, my laundry from the last vacation is still hanging on the bamboo poles all over the apartment. Now, I have to start packing again. Loads of ironing to do, hopefully by the time we get to NY it won't smell like 'baju lembab'.

2 big luggage are ready to be stuffed with clothings. We were warned of the cold weather in NY. Luckily Mary Jazz has some winter wear that I can use. For Erin I have bought new ones, mostly pink, her favourite colour. This will be her first winter experience, actually mine too. And we are both excited.

Changi to John F Kennedy is 23 hrs flight. We have plenty of time to rest and hopefully by the time we get to NY, Erin will finish her Mr Midnight story book and summarise the story for me as she has promised.

Kak Amy's driver will meet us at John F Kennedy at 10.30am local time. From there, we will be making our way to Kak Amy's house. We were told that there is a function we need to attend at the Malaysian Consulate, as her husband, Brig. General Dato' Ramli (not Major... my mistake) or 'Mr Pheng' as we call him (because he pronounced Pen as Pheng, the T'ganu way) is the Military Attache for Royal Army of Malaysia to the United Nation. That reminds me that I need to pack at least one formal dress.

We are going to spend at least 5 days in NY. Jazz has to attend few meetings and I will have time to do some sightseeing and shopping in NY with Kak Amy. Afterwhich we will make our way to Paris to hook up with Zizi. Since Zizi has an apartment there, that will safe us some money on hotel bills.

12 more hours and we are off !
