It supposed to be a Work Trip. I was supposed to be in KL to work. But it ended up with a blissful time with Jazz.
It all started off with "wanna?"
The trip to KL has been put off for couple of months, and finally last week, Jazz made the executive decision to go. After the stress of renovating the new haven and relocating, I guess it is about time to take a break and relax. I for one needed the much anticipated break. After the long period of financial instability, it is time that I pamper myself and enjoy my time alone with Jazz.
For our honeymoon, I of course, wanted to head for the water for a romantic getaway. But the thought of shopping in Kuala Lumpur, made me lose interest of sun tanning on the beach or swimming with the fish. It would be great to beat the crowd during the fasting month, to do the necessary shopping for the upcoming Hari Raya.
Our trip started with much strict plan of EZ Jazz. We pooled our money together and with his professional money management, we will be able to cover our accommodation and shopping spree. But whatever it is, shopping was not to interfere with our romance and quality time together.
With the help of Zebby, we stayed at Grand Plaza Park Royal, in the Junior Suite. With 2 queen-size beds, a lounge area, and a huge bathroom, we were treated like royalty. It is not what you know that counts, but 'who' you know that matters. 1606. That number will stay in my heart forever.
Within the first hour we arrived in Kuala Lumpur, we have already worked the shopping area. After the third hour, we walked back to the hotel with bags in our hands. I was smiling from ear to ear, although shopping was never my forte... I am beginning to like this.
I have always wanted to have a romantic dinner just the two of us. But Jazz was not sure where to go, as he has some reservations about going to his regular joint. After putting a stand on my mild suggested, he decided to take me there. We had fun, although I felt a little guilty about the place of choice. The escargot were delightful, the oysters were fresh, salad, soup, Sirloin Steak for Jazz and I settled for Spare Ribs...wonderful, simply wonderful. The love that Jazz showered me was intense; I can feel our heartbeats as we sat across each other and gazing in each other's eyes as if we were just met. It feels so nice to fall in love again, and being in love with this wonderful person, makes it more beautiful.
We ended the night with much cuddling and whispering in each others' ears of our unending love for one another. I have never loved like this before, and I am so blessed to have such a loving man in my life.
The next morning, breakfast at 9 am. The breakfast spread was endless. It amazed me how people were so friendly with Jazz, as if he was the House Guest of the Year. His aura illuminates his personality. Sometimes I can feel a hint of jealousy out of myself, watching girls looking at him with flirty eyes and suggestive smiles. That makes me want to hold him all the time, and never let him go. I sometimes wonder if I am being too possessive over him, but he is the man of my life, the love of my heart, and the guardian of our love. I will not let him go, even if my life is taken away from me.
After the gastronomic breakfast, we rested for few hours in our suite before headed to Masjid India for another shopping spree. This is good, I can really get use to this without much effort. Definitely. Somehow the image of the sun, the sand and the sea, was tucked far away at the back of my head.
Took a taxi to Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman, and we made our way to Wisma Yakin as Zebby suggested there is where we can to find quality baju melayu for the boys. As we were striding along the pavement, I felt hands on my waist, touching from behind. It couldn't be Jazz's as he was walking in front of me and I was holding his waist instead. I turned to look at who it was, and saw an Indian man walk hurriedly into a coffee shop. I told Jazz about it, and it fumed him and he wanted to turn back to look for the culprit, but he has long gone. If only Jazz could get his hands on that maniac instead... hehehe... mesti 'panel-panel' semua join in.
The afternoon walk turned fruitful when we've got what we were looking for. The boys will look really regal this Hari Raya in their gold colour baju kurung, and Erin will look superb in her sequence opal baju kurung. This year, we will be the best dressed family at the annual gathering. I am sure of it. Its time to shower ourselves with some luxury as the past few years we were incapacitated by the financial situation.
The look of Jazz face was full of satisfaction, as he knew that I was happy, eventhough we had to walk in the blazing sun from Jalan TAR to Bukit Nanas LRT station to take the train back to the hotel. KL needs more taxi driver with customer service oriented. The attitudes of most of the taxi drivers in KL were simply unwelcoming.
It was our first train ride in KL, and it was an adventure. Jazz was being very patience, a very rare treat in that kind of situation and circumstances, as it was hot and a long walk to the station… I love you darling, and you are so wonderful.
That evening, Zebby and his friend Nabeel, took us to a seafood place in 'Banting?' The restaurant called "Seri Langat Seafood" or something to that effect. The food was delicious. Although they do not have the kind of Chilli Crab that I am so fond of in Singapore, I have to settle for their version of Chilli Crab which was, rather nice too. Fresh seafood, delicious and at a ridiculous low price. We had Nasi Goreng, Kway Teow, Fried Beancurd, Crispy Sotong, Buttered Prawns, Chilli Crab and 'Bamboo-shells?' Total : RM135.00, meal for 4 adults. That's cheeeeeaaap! The only problem was... it took us nearly 2 hours to get there from Park Royal
Before the night was over, we spent some time at the lounge of the hotel and watched the World Cup, Agentina vs Germany. To Jazz's delight, Germany won thru penalty kicks after the extra time ended.
Saturday. Since morning, the day started with tragedy after tragedy. We were late for breakfast, and all was left were Miso soup and cereal. Jazz had Miso soup and rice, while I had the bowl of cereal. His nephew who was supposed to pick us up to go to Damansara, couldn't make it on time. So Jazz decided that we make our own way to meet Zebby near his apartment. The trip started with jokes and laughter, until I received an sms from an old girlfriend. As always Jazz asked questions after questions and seeking assurance which turned the day into a solemn mood. I knew that Jazz wasn't happy with what happened, and I was hurting inside.
Zebby and Ijat were 45 minutes late, that made Jazz more upset. After Zebby and Ijat finished their lunch, we took a taxi to SSF Curtain in Damansara. It was a factory/shop. Jazz was delighted to see the abundance of collections and designs. The price was very much affordable, and after the discussion with the sales person, he was pleased. Armed with a slip of paper with the rough quotation of the curtains, we tried to make our way back to the hotel.
There wasn't a single sight of taxi anywhere, so we were left stranded at SSF with no transport to take us back to the hotel. Even calling the taxi company seems unsuccessful. We ended up waiting in the scorching sun for nearly an hour, until one Samaritan (the sales person) offered to drive us to the main road. That was after Jazz asked his help. Not on his own initiative though, but anyhow we were grateful.
The rest of the day went on with Jazz and I not speaking. Even Ijat knew that something was amiss. 'Muka uncle macam durian manis' kata Ijat.
After hours of silence, Jazz and I talked things out. We manage to salvage our love and understand each other better. As Mother Theresa once said 'I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love'. This is so true. Love hurts, but it makes us love each other more than ever.
Portugal beats England and France advancing into the Semi.
After England failed to go to the Semi-final, we made our way to the Kiosk at Sungei Wang to get some supplies of soft drinks and cigarette for Jazz. I slept thru the night with so much love for him.
The next morning was a new day. I felt so much love for Jazz. The episode yesterday has brought us even closer and the love that we have for each other grew even stronger.
We had an early breakfast, and beat the pavement again to the nearby shopping area. After a satisfaction walk with more bags in our hands, we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for our trip back to Singapore.
It was a wonderful vacation, with loads of love. In the few days we were together, we learnt so much about each other, and understand each other better.
I am looking forward to our next trip to Redang...
