Dear Old Man

How I wish you were still here

To see Mom who sometimes can’t remember

She simply forgets that you are no longer with her

And it breaks me to see the anguish within her fear

Dear Old Man

Whose name sometime people call me by,

and I reminded them that is my father’s, not I

My heart weeps for you then, now and forever

And for Mom who still can’t remember

And for those who love you I know

Were present and cried in their sorrow

Dear Old Man

Rest well, and stay in peace

As I love you and always will

We had our challenges but you know too well

That out of all, I love you the most
