Our Last Day in the Island of Paradise - Bali
We do not want to leave Conrad Bali. The 2 days were so exhilarating that we were so reluctant to leave this beautiful island. The day started even earlier then yesterday, because we want to soak everything about Bali in, and hopefully that the memories of Bali will last forever.

We had a visitor while having breakfast. Even the birds were friendly.

Omelet with stewed mushrooms, grilled tomato and potato wedges

Our table in the Bale

Our table was set at the Bale of Suku Restaurant. Breakfast was very tricky, as we go thru the buffet area, but in the end the same thing, omelet, miso soup, muesli and bread. Bali coffee tasted different, and with a little brown sugar it was very invigorating in the sunny morning of Nusa Dua.

We thought of just laze around or probably walk on the beach. But the sun was too much for our skin. After my run to the rest room and back, we decided to go for a quick trip to Kuta and see if we can grab few souvenirs for Mary and the kids.

And our trip to Kuta proved to be a wise decision. During the first night that we were in Kuta, we walked thru an alley with not much merchandise to buy, and we thought it would be the same on this trip. But we were so elated to see the took-toko di jalanan to be open and lots of things to buy. When we done shopping, we went for a walk at Kuta Beach. The wind was strong, and there was a 'badai pasir' for a while.

When we got to the beach, there were lots of old women offering massage, braid and manicure. How do you enjoy doing all that on the beach with the potential of a sandstorm anytime.

Beautiful beach of Kuta

After the last minute shopping, we quickly make our way to the hotel to check out, since our check out time was 1.00 pm, they can’t extend it any longer because the Conrad was fully booked. Anyway, after freshened up we were good to go.

It was sad to leave Bali. We enjoyed our stay in Conrad. The Balinese are superbly friendly, very courteous, every where you turned you will see smiling faces. So, it is not wrong to smile actually.

Our limo was ready to take us to the airport by 2.30pm, it was hard to say goodbye to Conrad, to Bali, especially the people.

Although this was my third time in Bali, I leave you with a promise... we will be back, this I promise you. Soon, my friend, soon.

Back in homeland. Changi Airport Terminal 3. Before we take a taxi home, just one last drink before we leave the 3 days behind and live with the memories forever.

Baru touched down, bros dah talipon.
Risau nampaaak....
