Remember my pledged of not eating too much anymore and will go on strict diet since I realised that I am FAT. Well, for the benefits of everyone... I LIED.
After surfing the internet on Hungry Go Where, I stumbled upon Straits Kitchen. The remarks and comments about the place were all good, and the food puts on the weight on it. I can't help but begged Jazz to take me there, in the pretense that we need to spend 'alone time together'.
So, we made a date to dine at Straits Kitchen, Hyatt Hotel on Friday after work. I thought that it would be easier for us to make a reservation so that we won't have to waste time, waiting for other diners to finish their dinner before we can have a table. So, like a professional secretary as I am, I've called Straits Kitchen to make a reservation, and to my dissappointment, the place was fully booked with a long waiting list and no more walk-in slots. There goes my dying wish of dining at Straits Kitchen. I was heart broken.
But, forturnately for the positive attitude of Jazz , "die-die, I will make sure that we get a table in Straits Kitchen for you tonight". He said, in the worst case scenario, we pretend that we've made a reservations and stick to it. But, true to his words, using his charm, Jazz managed to secure a table at the reception when we walked in. HE IS MY MAN. They gave us from 6.30 pm to 8.15pm, as the table was reserved for 8.30pm for another guests. I was quite nervous though, for I thought that I won't get thru dinner with only 1hr 45mins.
By 8pm... I was full to the bream. I can hardly walk !
I give 10 for food, and 10 for service. I am one satisfied customer! FATTER, but nonetheless, SATISFIED. I can die smiling.
My soon next visit, will be with the children! Can't Wait!

Steam Sea Bass

The biggest mortar and pestel I've ever seen

Gulab Jamun - My Favourite. The first time I had it was few years back when I was working with Istituto Nazionale per il Commercio Estero da Singapore in Suntec City, and Carrefour was having Food Fest. The Indian stall sold Gulab Janum, and I fell in love with it instantly.
Gulab Janum is basically made of Dry Milk, Sugar, Flour and Ghee. Fried in ghee, and eat with thick rose scented syrup. Maybe I still have the "Indian" blood in me somewhere (probably 1/1000), and sweet Indian treats are my favourite desserts.
I probably will die of diebetes because it is hereditary and my sweet tooth, or of too much eating. Either way, I will die smiling.
