No Bunny for Easter

With Good Friday public holiday last week, it sure felt like the longest weekend without enough sleep with late nights’ outing.

On Thursday night we decided to have a Café Del Mar Revisited. So Jazz, Mary, Thasim and I decided to meet Ulka and his girls at Habour Front. While we were waiting, we managed to do some shopping, and since the time was too short for us to be too detailed, we plan to visit Habour Front again the next day.

Ulka arrived at around 9 pm, and we proceed to Mount Faber to take few pictures since Jazz brought his camera with him. Jazz was having fun with his camera, we need to decide where to have dinner before proceeding to Sentosa for our night cap. We were torn between Boat Quay for Tandoor Chicken and Sheesha, or Beach Road for Tulang.
It seems majority vote for Beach Road, and Thasim has to do away with the Sheesha idea.

The view up on Mount Faber was breathtaking at night. Mount Faber is one of tourist attractions in Singapore, is not really a mountain. It is just a hill, about 106 metres in height, located just north of the Habourfront area. The highest point is called Faber Point, and from there, we can have a panoramic view of the surrounding areas, including the Harbourfront area and the buildings at Singapore's central business district area.

Aini was 'lapar giler' and Jamie 'dah tak tahan nak pee', so we made our way back to the car so that Jamie can pee in her diapers, and we headed to Beach Road for some soup tulang. Apparently our favourite stall has closed as it was after midnight that we reached the place, so did our next farourite choice. We ended up ordering from a stall that we have never patronized before, and it proved to be disastrous. The tulangs were still tough, and the gravy was so bland. Even the soup kaki for Jazz was too pedas. What the heck happened to Beach Road Food Centre? Don't they have any kind of competitive mindset? I mean, if one or two stalls are so popular with customers quequeing to order, don’t the rest think that they need to keep up to the standards? Even the mamak hantar sugar cane drink forgot to put in the lemon wedge as we ordered.

Jamiemah and her mummy. Jamie is too 'dewasa' for a kid of 5 years old.

Thasim ordered soup kambing, BBQ Stingray, sambal sotong serves with plain rice (and he said he wasn't hungry). Jazz ordered soup kaki, and took only half a sip. Mary had kway teow goreng, Ulka had mee kuah and Jamie ordered mee hoon goreng. This girl really know how to eat hot stuff! The soup tulang was public property. As I had ate nasi, kari ayam and sambal selar kuning that Maryam cooked, I wasn't thaaaat hungry. So, I didn't order anything. I was being a good girl that night.

While Thasim came back with a can of pepsi and a glass of ice in his hands, the people sitting two tables away from us, ordered drinks from him. What a buckethead! "I don't work here laaah!"

Thasim... the mamak air

I have never left any tulangs when I ordered in Beach Road to waste, but that night I only ate 2 tulangs, while there were 3 more untouched when we left the forsaking place. I always think if you want to eat good soup tulangs... cook it yourself!

Café Del Mar was quiet for an eve of holiday. Only few tables were with guests. We sat near the swimming pool and Jazz started with his photo taking right away. We stayed up until 3.00 am and decided to go "Ghost Hunting". We proceed to Tang Dynasty as many ghosts' stories and ghosts sighting were reported about that place. Even Ulka and Aini have made few visits with their Supernatural group to Tang Dynasty for Ghost Hunting.

I was too sleepy to see or feel anything. But the rest said that they felt the vibes of presence. I can’t vouch for that, because I can’t see anything with my sleepy eyes.

We decided to leave the place when we saw Aini and Jamie fell asleep on the table
