My Girl is Growing Up To Fast

Last Friday was Erin’s first MRT ride alone. From Boon Lay to Raffles Place. At 9 years of age, that was an accomplishment! 3 cheers for Erin.

All because she wanted to buy a MP4 from that little shop which sells all those hello kitty’s stuff, located at OCBC Centre. She was thrilled to see a pink MP4, which cost $129.00 for a 512MB. I thought that was too pricey for a Hello Kitty MP4. She actually wanted to buy the colour instead of the brand.

But with the help of her Papa, I have managed to persuade her to get an iPod shuffle instead. A 2GB iPod cost only $108.00, and she agreed. Such an easy girl to negotiate with.

For her effort to travel all the way from home to meet me at work, on her own, I treated her with a chicken dinner. We went to BBQ Chicken at Orchard Cineleisure, since that’s where Apple showroom is located as well.

It was a fun night. Just us girls. She was excited to see how small the iPod Shuffle is, and was so happy with it. Now… I am thinking of getting one for myself too.
