Makan Again

Liza, Saharimah, Noraini, Zainuddin and Rohani, Hasman and Ani with Umairah, Amirah and Qhaireen congregated at Jazz's last Saturday.

When I got there from Sriwana with Liz, Mir and Erin, Mariam has concocted a feast from her magic kitchen. We were too eager to start eating, but yet have to wait for the rest to arrive, who came at about 6.30 pm after making 4 rounds of goose chasing, looking for Block 648B.

Drinks flowed and the usual banter surfaced. Not forgetting the offers of condolences for Mariam.

Ani Hasman came with bags of goodies. She has made herself busy since morning with nasi jagung, rojak buah and rendang. Saharimah came equipped with fruit jelly. All those complimented Mariam's ever so delicious Assam Pedas, Sotong Hitam, Kangkong belacan and Bubur Masjid for Jazz, which Saharimah finished 3 bowls of.

After jemaah Maghrib, we get down to business. We spread the mat at the verandah, and came all the juadah. It was like having Iftar during Rejab.

We discussed about our up coming event at Zdin's SCDF chalet and all were very enthused to start talking about food again. It promises another big 'Pesta Perut'.

The friends left at about 10 pm to proceed to another location, with so much hesitation. Time flies too fast when you were having good times.

With specially great friends and good food, laughter and great conversation, I am a very well fed lady - inside and out.
