Teringat pulak Kway Teow goreng kerang at Hartamas Corner, Sri Hartamas. Memang sedap, lagi lagi kalau makan dengan Sea Cucumber from one of the Chinese stall. Sedap betul. Di Kuala Lumpur, memang senang nak cari makan, segala nya halal. At my office building, UOB Plaza, 60th floor, there is one Chinese Restaurant yang tiap kali ada lunch meeting aku kena book that restaurant because it is very convenient, tapi aku tak pernah dapat makan sebab dah tentu tentu restaurant Cina, tak ada sijil halal. Tapi di Kuala Lumpur, the same Restaurant at Grand Plaza ParkRoyal, aku boleh makan sampai kenyang, sebab halal. Best betul, taklah aku kempunan tak dapat rasa makanan that they serve at restaurant cina tu di Singapore.

The last time we were in Kuala Lumpur was before Ramadhan, we had to give Sri Hartamas a miss due to time constraint. Our visit was full of other activities, mainly shopping for hari raya and visit to Jazz's sister's for tahlil. Nasi Lemak Kak Has, pembantu Kak Jane, power sangat. Lebih power dari Nasi Lemak Boon Lay, walaupun aku memang tak minat dengan Nasi Lemak Boon Lay tu, kalau beli pun sekadar nak hilangkan rasa lapar.

While we were in KL, we had our meals at other places too, and one memorable place was Kampong Bahru where Jazz did his magic trick. We had our 'free' dinner of mee hoon goreng pedas, soup babat and bubur nasi, after which, we, the women, Mariam, Lynn, Erin and myself hurriedly ran towards Zebby's car not knowing what to do or expect. Jazz and Zebby's magic trick was so unexpected, I was shocked that they managed to pull such stunt when we were at the most notorious part of Kuala Lumpur. That would be a tale that I will tell my grandchildren in years to come.

While we were eating our supper of A & W at AmCorp PJ one night, along came Annuar Zain, the famous Malaysian singer with his entourage. Oh my, his dimples and smiles were mesmerizing. Mariam and Lynn couldn't take their eyes off him, and I was just too afraid to even sneak a peek, not wanting Jazz to get all worked up. But too late, Jazz realized that his women were looking at another man... and he wasn't too happy about it... hehehe. Don't worry darling, you look 1000 times better than any of those 'handsome' singers, honest. If you don't believe me just walk into Planet Hollywood in the pretense to use their rest room.

I am thinking of another Kuala Lumpur trip, this time with Erin and Eriq. I haven't had a good vacation with the children for a long time. It was either shopping trip or work related. Maybe we should spend a week in Kuala Lumpur. With RM200 a night at Plaza Park Royal, I need at least S$1,000 for the trip. That is not too difficult to save. Kuala Lumpur is a food paradise, from Subways to The Ship, I want to taste everything and try anything.
