Now that I am working full time, I am not able see Erin off to school like always. With Qhairul working on temporary assignments for few days, Mom has to come by to make sure Erin is ready for school and to tie her hair up and tidy. Erin is beginning to show some independency. I usually leave her every morning alone at home, until her granny comes a while later, of course with the door and windows shut close, bolt and lock.

I guess I will miss her pretty soon. I will miss the sound of her feet when she danced to the beat of the MTV, or her voice at the top of her lung when she sings "Beep" by the Pussy Cat Dolls. She likes to shake her booty like the girl from the girl group, and flipped her long hair back every time she realized that I was watching.

There was once, Boy or Robert as I called him, told Erin how silly she looks with that shaking of the butt. Erin, with her hands on hips, announced, "This is my butt, I can do anything with it! And I can kick your butt too if you don't shut up"

"You rock, Rin!"I said to her, while Robert turned his heels and off to his apartment, stomping his feet away.

She turns to me with an impatient look on her face and replied, "I'm a girl, mom. Girls are not supposed to rock. I just want to be pretty and a girl is pretty and nice, pink and sweet, that's it. I am definitely do not ROCK!"

She must have noticed the surprised look on my face because she took my hand and gave it a pat.

"It's ok, mom" she assured me "and I really love your new shoes."

Those Disney Princess movies are so history.
