Muhd Izwan B Roslan - A Cancer Survivor

Hi, this story is not about me, it is about a 14 year old boy name Muhd Izwan B Roslan. Izwan's mother is my ex-classmate from Primary One in Jubilee Primary School to Sec 4 of Yusof Ishak Secondary School. Izwan is the fourth child of four siblings in this wonderful and loving family. I would say Izwan is blessed with this wonderful people.

Izwan was diagnosed with leukemia in April 2005, and had his bone marrow transplant on 17th January 2006. He was treated with chemo and will continue with the treatment and will be in isolation in National University Hospital Ward 47 for the next 2 months. There was no promise of the effects of the treatments or what the effects were to be later. He will loss his hair and experienced a lot of symptoms and illness due to all the treatments.

With a twinkle in his eyes, he told his parents not to worry and he is strong and will overcome this episode soon. Izwan is in the middle of his battle. But he always has a smile on his face every time we look at him through the glass panel in Ward 47.

I haven't been able to get this wonderful boy off my mind. My heart is with him and his family. This situation made all of my little problems that I used to consider huge ones so unimportant. This child story has touched my inner soul and has taught me to appreciate Gods world.

We recently administered a project to collect "Dana Tabung Izwan" which to my surprise had many positive responses from our small community of Klaz78 and other generous donors who stepped forward to help a family in need. We are keeping the Dana open for those who want to give their donations to this wonderful teenager. Any little help that we can provide to the family, we hope will keep the flame glowing for Izwan.

Izwan is a strong and brave young man who's fight has made an impact on everyone that knows him. Please say a prayer and doa for Izwan.

To Izwan, I wish you continued good health and a speedy recovery and keep that spirit burning.
I wish the best of health to all other cancer survivors and to those newly diagnosed please be strong and hang in there.

Jazz Forever
